Position Title: Location: Reports To: Global Network Manager - EMEA (m/f) Grossostheim, Germany Director of Global IT Solutions Position Summary: The Global Network Manager is a key member of the IT team for a $500 million division of a large multi-national industrial leader based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. PSG has experienced significant growth and will continue that growth both organically and through acquisitions on a global basis. Under the general direction of the Director of Global IT Solutions and partnering with other Global Network Managers, this individual will provide day-to-day technical infrastructure support for the 8-10 Dover facilities located in the EMEA region and be a back-up resource for more than 20 other global sites. The Global Network Manager is responsible for providing support and technical guidance and ensuring standards are maintained regarding the PSG technical framework for all data and voice communications. This person will also be responsible to ensure all IT Controls are in place and monitored in compliance with Dover’s Sarbanes Oxley CIC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manages the EMEA PSG network and assists with both long-term and short-term IT strategy and planning to meet Company objectives. Assists in generation of solutions to business issues or opportunities relating to the global infrastructure network. Work closely with technical partners and vendors to develop global solutions for PSG. Acts as an in-house systems analyst. Conducts studies of specific functions to determine the applicability of new or existing technologies. Designs and implements network and PC systems making the best use of information technology. With the PSG Global Network Manager(s) and OpCo Network Administrators, is responsible for developing technical standards for personal computer hardware and software including servers, networks, operating systems, applications, utilities, data & voice communications equipment, terminals, PCs, printers, and other peripherals. Assists all PSG Operating Companies with technical support as related to the network infrastructure. Assists with the development of PSG’s Global IT policies. Ensures global computer network functions operating optimally, backup data is available, and an IT disaster recovery plan is in place. As regards the network infrastructure components, performs on-site troubleshooting and repair, or makes service calls when necessary and provides preventative maintenance oversight. Provides 2nd tier technical support to the global PSG IT staff, and works with the staff to maintain high levels of customer/user satisfaction. Provides 1st tier technical support at the PSG level. Assists with computer-related training on systems throughout the company. Purchases new computer hardware and software at the PSG level. Represents PSG IT and provides technical expertise and consultation to various teams, users groups, and committees within the Dover Fluids family of Operating Companies.. Must be knowledgeable of, and comply with the Company’s policies and procedures. Maintains a solid grasp of current technologies deployed within PSG, and stays abreast of new technologies coming into the marketplace that may provide benefit to PSG in the future. All infrastructure projects will be managed and adhere to the PSG Policies for Systems Development Life Cycle or Change Management depending on the scope of the project. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of IT. Qualifications/Requirements: Five years experience with Network Technology and Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in IT arena. Must have a deep technological understanding of the standard technologies currently deployed within the Dover environment: The list includes but is not limited to WAN and LAN operation and management tools, Microsoft Operating Systems for Server & PC, MS Office and related products, VOIP phone system, Office 365, Exchange, Virtual Machine, Active Directory, trouble ticket helpdesk system, mobile device technology, router, firewall, WAN and VPN. Experience in MS SQL, VMware, Cisco, Juniper, ShoreTel/VOIP, Blackberry/Apple/Android, SharePoint Working knowledge of Oracle, AS400 or SAP are a plus. Knowledge of Mimecast, WAN Optimization and Shoretel phone systems also a plus. Experience with LANSweeper and SolarWinds Orion preferred Experience working with Networking/WAN technologies. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with various management levels across all Dover Fluids Opco’s. Ability to continue on-going education and or training to maintain necessary skills. Ability to travel (including international) – up to 40% time. Desired Characteristics: Technical Certification - Microsoft Ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic environment.
