Finden Sie es heraus!Wir freuen uns auf Ihre Bewerbung.CGI DeutschlandHR Recruiting-TeamBewerberhotline: 0 61 96. 77 42 420 Satellite Operations Engineer (m/w) Standort(e): DarmstadtStellen-ID: J1215-1431 Satellite Operations Engineer We are looking for a satellite 3B system operations engineer for the activities mainly related to Sentinel-3 Satellite Flight Operations within the Flight Operations Division at EUMETSAT.The key person shall be integrated into the Sentinel-3 Spacecraft Operations Team, led by the Copernicus Sentinel-3 Spacecraft Operations Manager, within the Flight Operations Division of the Operations and User Services Department.The activity requires the full-time participation of the key person for the duration of her/his respective contracts. The tasks of the key person will be carried out at EUMETSA T facilities in Darmstadt but occasional travel within Europe may be necessary.The key person shall be primarily assigned to Satellite 3 system operations preparation and support to 3A routine when handed over from ESOC to EUMETSAT, covering all satellite and system (FOS/PDGS) components aspects related to operations engineering for the platform, payload and instrument data handling, instrument parameter and OBSW maintenance, as well as FDIR and OPS security aspects for the management of encryption and authentication functions.The key person shall be trained to provide operations expertise and support to further platform subsystems and I or payload instruments, depending on his or her experience and the overall team needs. Eventually, each position should be able to ensure the backup of any of the 3 positions, to ensure routine operations and the first recovery actions.The key person shall also participate in coordinating the satellite operations activities of other team members and external teams responsible for on-board software management, simulator support, mission control, mission planning, flight dynamics and ground stations. Furthermore, the key person shall support system and operations preparation activities for Sentinel-3B and for the recurrent mission with respect to their related activities.The key person shall be required to support operations during normal working hours, as well as support the on-call operations engineer rota, such that safe and efficient operations are ensured by the Spacecraft Operations Team on a 24/7 basis. Tasks • Support to the commissioning and routine operations of Sentinel 3A, and preparing for Sentinel-3B comprising:• Provision of operational expertise to their relevant system (ref. to Table 1) in particular, with support to other platform subsystems and/or payload instruments and/or on-board software management, satellite simulator and ground segment operations interfaces;• Maintain the corresponding operations documentation and flight procedures, including the update and operational validation of procedures releases in a configuration controlled environment;• Perform trending and performance analysis on the corresponding subsystems and instruments, including definition and possibly prototyping of additional analysis checks where necessary;• Investigations into satellite anomalies. This may require a close co-operation with the Post launch Support Office (PLSO) in ESTEC and space industry;• Support the coordination of partner agency interactions for relevant subsystems/instruments;• Participation in the satellite on-call support rota;• Identification and support to implementation of system and process improvements concerning the Spacecraft Operations Team responsibilities and interfaces.• Support to the system and operations preparation of sentinel-3 C and D satellites• Provide inputs and I or review the definition of system and satellite operational concepts;• Review space to ground interface specifications and flight operations manuals;• Support the definition of tools and processes required to prepare for and operate the satellites.• Support to the system and operations preparation of other LEO satellites• Provide operations preparation support as required to the Sentinel-6 development. Profile Mandatory:In addition to having a University degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, the Key person shall have a demonstrated experience in at least two of the following mandatory skills:• Experience of at least 5 years of Spacecraft Operations on Low Earth Orbit (LEO), 3-axis stabilised spacecraft with responsibility for one or more platform subsystems or instruments during operational validation, commissioning or routine operations phases;• Experience of at least 3 years of SCOS2000 mission control system and use of the MOIS operations preparation tool;• Demonstrated experience in satellite performance monitoring and reporting aspects including anomaly analysis and solving in liaison with satellite industry, procedure change control and configuration management processes;• Experience in the operation or development of satellite ground segment facilities, in particular procedure development, monitor and control, mission planning, on-board software management, performance analysis, configuration management and simulator facilities. Desirable: • Specification of system and operational concepts, facility requirements;• Familiarity with On-Board Control Procedure and On-Board Position Scheduler concepts;• Familiarity with the ECSS Packet Utilisation Standard, customisation and usage;• Familiarity with system change control and configuration management procedures;• Data analysis software packages such as MATLAB;• File parsing languages such as PERL, A WK;• Use ofVBA for development of ad-hoc tools in MS Office applications.The candidate should be self-motivated and able to work in an organised and efficient manner with minimum supervision. Strong data analysis, processing and synthesis skills are essential and an ability to recognise opportunities for improvements in areas of work and implement appropriate solutions is highly desirable.The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. The working language for the position is English and therefore the key person must be able to work effectively in this language and have knowledge of the other.
