Security Manager Germany in Berlin (Kleinmachnow) Team Description & Purpose of Role Being part of our Security Management and Compliace team Act as Interoute’s data protection security specialist providing pragmatic, realistic advice to wider security team and the company on the implementation of technical data protection solutions; Act as the German BSI Security Officer, including maintenance of IT-Grundschutz accreditation; Develop and enhance security policies, concepts and security controls; Support Customer Audit requirements. Job Responsibilties Work with the solution architects to assist them in designing solutions compliant to the security policy and the EU data protection directive; Work with the legal team advising them on appropriate data protection controls; Raise awareness of the EU data protection directive across the organisation; Work internationally across all Interoute locations supporting the deployment of Data Protection and Security policy and controls As a member of the global security compliance team work to ensure security management, compliance and improvement of Data Centre IT-Grundschutz security controls and hosting operations procedures; Maintain IT-Grundschutz accreditation in coordination with Data Centre Operations and support IT-Grundschutz audits (internal and customer audits) as well as customer requirements which could result in expansion of the IT-Grundschutz framework; Maintain the IT-Grundschutz Tool existing entries; Ensure maintenance of integrated ISO 27001 security controls supporting German IT-Grundschutz requirements; Develop and enhance the corporate security policy; Perform policy, process and procedure audits of Data Centre Operations to ensure compliance and development improvement of controls; Develop and conduct regular security awareness training; Conduct regular security audits to ensure appropriate implementation of the corporate security policy and technical security controls. Experience Required Detailed practical knowledge of advising on and assisting in the implementation of security solutions to enable compliance with the data protection laws in multiple EU countries; Detailed practical knowledge of IT-Grundschutz with proven experience (minimum 5+ years); Independent and innovative employee, with ICT audit technical knowledge within a hosting service provider, covering e.g. Windows, Linux, security technologies and network solutions; Working knowledge of German regulatory requirements including IT-GRUNDSCHUTZ and Data Protection; At least 5 year of verifiable project references in the IT-Grundschutz and ISO area including relevant work experience; Creative and innovative thinker, who can adapt proven international best practice standards to Interoute’s requirements; Supportive, receptive and respectful of the ideas of others, with ability to lead and implement; Fluent English – both written and verbal. Person Specification IT-Grundschutz accreditation and audit experience. ISO 27001 accreditation and audit experience. Project Management experience. At least 5 year of verifiable project references and relevant work experience. Technical degree in IT, Telecommunication, Information/IT Security or simular. Enthusiastic, determined and independent. German mother tongue with fluent written and verbal English. Desirable: CISA, CISM or CISSP certifications Desirable: Data Protection qualifications.
